This army was painted last year 2023 & 2024.
Last post we started off by showing you the Order of the Griffon. Now I am going to follow with a short and sweet post on my favourite order of all, Knights of the Blazing Sun.

Why are they my favourite? I guess it’s was because they were always really rarely seen models but, we all knew they existed. So collecting them from eBay 30 years later was a real kick. Overall scheme was heavy on the slivers and gold. I tried to get an old gold feel going, by simply using an anthrax earth-shade over any standard acrylic gold and highlighting back up.

I have been posting regularly, roughly weekly, for most of the year, but now as I say I am not technically finished yet with this army I am staggering out posts, so as to fit in units on my painting desk.

Not sure what will be next, as there are a few on the go but, stay tuned over the next few weeks and hopefully I can get it the next one out soon.
Cool beans, I think I was leaving WFB when these were out but saying that I seem to recall that chap in the middle, he looks bad ass.

Hi Mike, going from memory yes I think you’re right.
DeleteAt this time Citadel and Marauder were very interchangeable.
Marauder did some of my favourite sculpts, they had a chonk about them that often worked really well.
DeleteThe main issue I have now is motivation to keep myself painting I have hit a bit of a rut the last few months…

DeleteI did start making a field the other day but never finished it, I don't think the grim weather is helping...
I have been down for a while. Just forcing myself to do bits here or there.
