Empire Characters 

Rieksguard Mounted Knights Rebased Complete 

This week I have the pleasure in presenting most of the characters for my empire army and the completed version of the mounted kneights that have already been previewed on this blog. The latter because they contain as standard two main characters - Ludwig Schwarzhelm and Kurt Helborg.

Kurt Helborg is the Reiksmarshal of the Empire and Grand Master of the elite Reiksguard Knights, so it is apt that he appears here again within the unit. Born into a wealthy family in the Reikwald, he joined the Reiksguard in his youth and grew up alongside the future Emperor, Karl Franz. As Reiksmarshal, he is the supreme commander of the Empire's military forces, second only to the Emperor in matters of war. He is famously known for his signature large, magnificent mustache and, in lore, is often depicted in polished, mirror-sheen armor and is regarded as perhaps the greatest human swordsman in the Old World, he wields the Runefang of Solland, a powerful, ancestral magic blade. This is also apt as I have strog reprsentation of Wissenland carring an old Solland flag and Sitrland.

Ludwig Schwarzhelm serves as the primary bodyguard to Karl Franz, bearer of the Emperor's personal standard, and enforcer of the "Emperor's Justice," acting as a champion in trials by combat. He is renowned for his immense physical strength and, most famously, for never smiling.He carries the Sword of Justice, a magical blade passed down through generations of champions, and is carrying my handpainted standard to reflect his importance. Schwarzhelm is a non-noble who rose through the ranks due to his skill and loyalty. He is often portrayed as the stern, uncompromising foil to the more charismatic and politically minded Reiksmarshal, Kurt Helborg.

Next up we have Nicodemus was a powerful Hedge Wizard who fought in the ruins of the city of Mordheim as a mercenary in search for warpstone he needed to prevent his mutation, serving here as a user of the powerful Lore of Shadow.

Followed by Thyrus Gormann Supreme Patriarch of the Colleges of Magic and a powerful Magister Patriarch of the Bright Order. 

Rear View

Last but by no means least I have painted Helmut Feuerbach, Grand Duke of Talabecland, Margrave of the East March and Beloved of Taal, is the current Elector Count of the Electoral Province of Talabecland in the Empire, known for his fiery temper and his need to exert his rule with an iron fist.
