Empire - Sigmar Seven

Wissenland Halberdiers

Rebased Complete

The unit has kinda featured a little before however that was a work in progress sneak peak. Here I have the completed unit, fully rebased, and in its own movement tray. I started with the command back during lockdown, but have only just added the back rank. 5 years to complete one unit is quite an accomplishment!

Unit Command

This unit is my pride of the army, I think not only is it the best I have painted in this army but also includes my favourite model as the champion of the unit, along with the addition of an imperial dwarf again has lots of character and charm, keeping in theme with the rest of the army.

Wissenland, formally the Grand County of Wissenland, is a founding Electoral Province of the Empire that lies in the southern reaches of that realm. The province of Wissenland is considered the armoury of the Empire, for it holds within its borders the city-state of Nuln, the largest industrial city within the Old World.

Wissenland's territories was originally confined between the Grey Mountains and the River Soll, but following the destruction of Solland the territories were given to Wissenland. Ever since then, the people of Wissenland have expressed a degree of sorrow and remembrance for their neighbours, going as far as to add the flag of Solland upon their own banners as a sign of respect for their fallen countrymen. This can be seen in my freehand Solland banner.

Overhead

The unit comprises mainly of old Games Workshop 80s models. However there are a few later plastics models that can still be brought from GW. Also a few spare Warlord Games plastic might have sneaked in at the back, but I love diversity it adds character.

Agreed, and the stripes and so on add that extra.
These things could easily have been ignored, but doing them has elevated the unit for sure.

"my favourite model as the champion of the unit,"
    What have you named him?

    1. Thanks Mike, stripes were a nightmare too but worth it.

Havnt named him yet. The Champion got to be something grizzled and nematic. Something like Micheal de Solla….

      What do you think?
